Hold'em poker against the dealer with one raise per hand. Raise 4x before the flop, 2x on the flop or 1x on the river: the earlier you commit, the more you can win.
Ultimate Texas Hold'em rewards players who know when to raise. With perfect decisions the main game returns 97.82% of your Ante and Blind, or 99.47% of everything you bet. The Trips side bet needs no decisions but costs more, returning 96.50%.
Medium. Most hands settle at even money, but a 4x raise puts six times your Ante on one hand, and the Blind and Trips pay long odds on rare hands.
Evolution's returns assume perfect play. The main game figure is measured on your Ante and Blind; measured on everything you bet, raises included, it is 99.47%.
| Bet | Pays | RTP | House edge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main game: Ante, Blind and Play | Ante and Play 1 to 1, Blind by its paytable | 97.82% | 2.18% |
| Trips side bet | 3 to 1 up to 50 to 1 | 96.50% | 3.50% |
The dealer needs a pair or better to qualify. That only decides the Ante: Play pays whenever you win.
| Bet | Pays |
|---|---|
| You win, dealer qualifies | Ante 1 to 1, Blind by paytable, Play 1 to 1 |
| You win, dealer does not qualify | Ante pushes, Blind by paytable, Play 1 to 1 |
| You lose, dealer qualifies | Ante, Blind and Play lose |
| You lose, dealer does not qualify | Ante pushes, Blind and Play lose |
| You tie the dealer | Ante, Blind and Play push |
| You fold on the river | Ante and Blind lose |
The Blind pays only when your hand beats the dealer's. A winning hand below a Straight pushes it.
| Bet | Pays |
|---|---|
| Royal Flush | 500 to 1 |
| Straight Flush | 50 to 1 |
| Four of a Kind | 10 to 1 |
| Full House | 3 to 1 |
| Flush | 1.5 to 1 |
| Straight | 1 to 1 |
| Any other winning hand | Push |
Trips pays on your best five of seven cards, whatever the dealer holds and even if you fold.
| Bet | Pays | Chance per hand |
|---|---|---|
| Royal Flush | 50 to 1 | 0.0032% |
| Straight Flush | 40 to 1 | 0.0279% |
| Four of a Kind | 30 to 1 | 0.1681% |
| Full House | 8 to 1 | 2.60% |
| Flush | 7 to 1 | 3.03% |
| Straight | 4 to 1 | 4.62% |
| Three of a Kind | 3 to 1 | 4.83% |
| Two Pair or lower | Bet loses | 84.73% |
Each Trips chance is exact: the share of all 133,784,560 seven-card hands one 52-card deck can deal you. Your hand reaches the Blind paytable just as often, but the Blind also needs that hand to beat the dealer's.
Pays shows the odds on a winning bet, with your stake returned on top, as Evolution's rules print them: 1.5 to 1 pays $15 on a $10 Blind. RTP is the share of all money bet that comes back over a very long run; house edge is the rest. Neither predicts a single session.

Claim BonusUltimate Texas Hold'em is Hold'em poker played against the house. You and the dealer each get two cards and share five community cards, and the better five-card hand wins. Any number of players can join a table, one seat each.
Bet on the Ante and a Blind bet of the same amount goes down with it. Add the optional Trips bet if you want it.
Raise 4x or 3x your Ante on your two cards, 2x after the flop, or 1x after the river. Each hand allows one raise.
The dealer turns over two cards and the best five-card hands are compared. The dealer needs a pair or better for your Ante to be in play.
Betting is open while the traffic light on screen is green, turns yellow as time runs out, and closes on red. You get two cards face up and the dealer two face down. Then come the flop, three community cards, and finally the turn and river. Your decisions come in the pauses between them. The deck is shuffled after every hand.
Say you bet $10 on the Ante, so $10 also goes on the Blind. Raise 4x before the flop and $40 goes on Play, $60 in all. If you win with a Flush and the dealer qualifies, the Ante pays $10, Play pays $40 and the Blind pays 1.5 to 1, or $15. You collect $65 plus your $60 back. If the dealer had no pair, the Ante would push and you would collect $55.
Trips goes on with your Ante before the deal and pays on your final hand alone. Raising, checking or folding does not change it, so a folded hand still collects on Trips if your seven cards make Three of a Kind or better.
Every hand is dealt from one full 52-card deck, so each hand chance here is a count out of 133,784,560 possible seven-card hands. The main game return depends on your decisions, so Evolution's own figures cover it.
Evolution puts the main game at 97.82% of your Ante and Blind, a 2.18% edge. Counted against everything you bet, raises included, it is 99.47%, an edge of 0.53%. On a $10 Ante and $10 Blind, perfect play loses about 44 cents a hand on average.
Your seven cards make Three of a Kind or better 15.27% of the time. The paytable returns 96.50% of Trips bets, a 3.50% edge, and no decision you make changes that.
Before any card is seen, the dealer's seven cards hold a pair or better 82.59% of the time. In the other 17.41% the Ante pushes, whether you win or lose.
Seven cards make a Straight or better 10.44% of the time. A smaller winning hand pushes the Blind, and a loss or a fold loses it.

Yes. You choose when to raise and whether to fold, and Evolution's 97.82% main game return assumes every decision is made perfectly. Weaker play returns less. Trips is the exception: nothing you do changes it.
With only your two cards to go on, you can raise 4x or 3x your Ante, or check. This is the only time the biggest raise is open.
Once the first three community cards are out, a player who checked can raise 2x or check again.
With all five community cards out, you raise 1x or fold your Ante and Blind. Checking is no longer an option.
House edge, cheapest first. A shorter bar costs less.
Your raise is 1x to 4x your Ante, so a $10 Ante can grow to $60 at risk in one hand. Set your Ante with the 4x raise in mind.
Trips is optional and carries a bigger edge than the main game. Leave it off and your cost comes down to the main game and how well you play it.
Play for fun, with money you can afford to lose. Set a time and money limit before you start and keep to it. If gambling stops being fun or you feel the urge to chase losses, take a break and get support: see our problem gambling help page.
Before the flop and on the flop, the game checks for you. On the river it folds your hand, and you lose your Ante and Blind.
Your Ante, Blind and Play all push and come back to you. Kickers break ties first, so a true tie means both best five-card hands are equal, for example when you both play the five community cards.
No. The Trips spot opens once your Ante has been accepted, and Trips has to go on before betting time ends.
Yes. Trips pays on the best five of your seven cards, so a Straight made entirely by the community cards still pays 4 to 1.
A winning Royal Flush pays 500 to 1 on the Blind, on top of even money on your Ante and Play. Trips pays 50 to 1 on any Royal Flush, win or lose.
If you drop out while betting is still open, your bets are void and returned. After betting closes they stay in play and are settled without you, and the result shows in your history when you return.
