Australia draws its line at the operator, not the player. Under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 it is an offence to offer online casino games to anyone in Australia, and blackjack is squarely one of the games covered, alongside roulette, baccarat, craps, pokies and online poker. No. The Interactive Gambling Act targets the providers of interactive gambling, not their customers, and Australians who access these services do not commit an offence. That is the most commonly misstated fact about Australian gambling law.
