One card for the Dragon, one for the Tiger, and one Lightning suit each round that multiplies wins up to 8x, or up to 1,280 to 1 on a Suited Tie. Every bet carries a 20% fee.
Lightning Dragon Tiger adds a 20% fee to every bet and pays it back through random suit multipliers. Dragon or Tiger is the bet to make: Evolution puts it at 96.97% of what you pay, against 91.26% for the Tie and 82.93% for the Suited Tie. Without the multipliers the main bet would give back only 80.22% of what you pay, so about a sixth of its return arrives through multiplied wins.
Medium. Dragon and Tiger win close to half the time, but part of their return waits on a multiplied win, which comes about once in 9 rounds. The Tie and Suited Tie are long shots whose biggest prizes need both cards in the Lightning suit.
The first figure is the regular payout; the second is the most a Lightning multiplier can raise it to. On any tie, half the bet is returned.
| Bet | When it wins | Pays | RTP | Chance per round | House edge |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dragon | The Dragon card is higher | 1 to 1, up to 8 to 1 | 96.97% | 46.27% | 3.03% |
| Tiger | The Tiger card is higher | 1 to 1, up to 8 to 1 | 96.97% | 46.27% | 3.03% |
Two Lightning cards multiply a tie win twice, which is where the top payouts come from.
| Bet | When it wins | Pays | RTP | Chance per round | House edge |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tie | Both cards match in value, any suits | 6.5 to 1, up to 416 to 1 | 91.26% | 7.47% | 8.74% |
| Suited Tie | Both cards match in value and suit | 20 to 1, up to 1,280 to 1 | 82.93% | 1.69% | 17.07% |
Each chance is exact for the first round of a fresh shoe: after the Dragon card, 31 of the 415 cards left match its value and 7 match its value and suit. Later in the shoe the dealt cards shift these chances slightly, but Dragon and Tiger always stay equally likely.
Every bet also carries the 20% Lightning fee: a $5 bet costs $6 in total. The RTP figures are measured against what you pay, fee included.
Pays shows the odds on a winning bet, with your stake returned on top. The fee is not returned. RTP is the share of all money bet that comes back over a very long run; house edge is the rest. Neither predicts a single session.

Claim BonusLightning Dragon Tiger is a two card game from Evolution's Lightning series. The dealer draws one card for the Dragon and one for the Tiger from an eight deck shoe, and you bet on which side gets the higher card or on a tie. Before the deal, lightning picks one suit and gives every card of that suit a multiplier.
Put chips on Dragon, Tiger, Tie or Suited Tie before the betting time runs out. A 20% fee is added to your total bet.
After betting closes, one suit is chosen at random and every card of that suit gets a multiplier of 2x, 3x, 5x or 8x for this round.
The dealer turns one card for the Dragon and one for the Tiger. The higher card wins, and a winning card in the Lightning suit multiplies the win.
You bet while the timer runs, or while the traffic light on screen is green and then yellow. When betting closes, the Lightning Round picks a suit and a multiplier, and both show on screen. The dealer then deals one card face up to the Dragon and one to the Tiger, and any card of the Lightning suit is highlighted. There are no more cards and no decisions.
The fee is added to your total bet. A $5 bet on Dragon costs you $6. If the Dragon wins at its regular 1 to 1, you get $10 back: $5 winnings plus your $5 bet, so you are $4 ahead of the $6 you paid. If the Tiger wins, the whole $6 is gone. If the cards tie, you get half your bet back, $2.50, and the fee is not returned.
Say Hearts is the Lightning suit at 5x and you have $5 on Dragon. If the Dragon gets the 9 of Hearts and beats the Tiger, your 1 to 1 becomes 5 to 1: you get $25 plus your $5 back. Only the winning card counts. If the Tiger card is the Heart and the Dragon still wins, you are paid the regular 1 to 1.
The Tie pays 6.5 to 1 on any tie, suited or not, and the Suited Tie pays 20 to 1 when both cards also match in suit. One Lightning card in a tie multiplies the win once, so a Tie at 3x pays 19.5 to 1. If both cards are in the Lightning suit, which can only happen on a suited tie, the win is multiplied twice. That is how a Suited Tie at 8x reaches 1,280 to 1, 20 times 8 times 8.
Ace counts 1 and is the lowest card, then 2 through 10, Jack, Queen and King, which is the highest. Suits never decide a winner. They matter for the Suited Tie and for the Lightning multiplier.
The screen records the shoe in the Bead Road and Big Road, which show each past result and highlight rounds a multiplier touched, and in the Big Eye Road, Small Road and Cockroach Road, which show patterns built from the Big Road. Shoe statistics count Dragon wins, Tiger wins and ties so far, and Bet Statistics show how other players split their bets. All roads clear when a new shoe comes in.
Eight decks hold 32 cards of each value and 104 of each suit. Once the Dragon card is out, the Tiger card is one of the 415 left, and the Lightning suit is one of four, which fixes every chance in the game. The paytable and the fee decide the rest.
A $1 Dragon bet costs $1.20. At regular odds alone it gives back 80.22% of what you paid. Evolution puts its full return at 96.97%, so about a sixth of what it returns comes from multiplied wins. For every $100 you stake you pay $120 and get back about $116.36 on average.
The winning card is in the Lightning suit a quarter of the time, so a Dragon bet wins with a multiplier in 11.57% of rounds, about once in 9. The other three wins in four pay the regular 1 to 1, which leaves a $5 bet $4 up on the $6 paid.
A tie comes up 31 times in 415, about once in 13 rounds, and a suited tie 7 times in 415, about once in 59. A suited tie in the Lightning suit, the only way to get two Lightning cards, comes up in just 0.42% of rounds, so the biggest payouts are rare and the tie bets return less than the main bet.
Official rules: Evolution Lightning Dragon Tiger game rules, checked October 30, 2026. The rules at your casino may show different figures; its in game help is the version that applies to you.
Only one choice matters: which bet you make. The cards and the Lightning suit decide everything else, and there is nothing to do once betting closes.
Both sides pay the same, are equally likely at every point in the shoe, and are equally likely to get a Lightning card. No road or streak can point to a better side.
Dragon and Tiger cost 3.03% of what you pay. The Tie costs 8.74% and the Suited Tie 17.07%, so a tie bet next to your main bet raises the cost of every round.
$5 on Dragon and $5 on Tiger costs $12. Unless the cards tie, one wins and you get $10 back, more only if the winning card is a Lightning card. On a tie you get $5 back. It protects nothing and pays the fee twice.
House edge, cheapest first. A shorter bar costs less.
Count the fee: $10 in chips costs $12. Set your budget on what you pay, not on the chips.
Rounds are quick. At 96.97%, the main bet costs about $3.03 for every $100 you pay over time.

Every card of the Lightning suit, which is a quarter of the shoe. One suit is picked each round after betting closes, and all its cards share one multiplier: 2x, 3x, 5x or 8x.
Yes. The Tie bet wins on any tie, suited or not. A suited tie in the Lightning suit is also the only result that gives a Tie bet two Lightning cards, which is how it reaches its top payout of 416 to 1.
1,280 to 1 on a Suited Tie when both cards are in the Lightning suit at 8x. A $5 Suited Tie bet that hits it returns $6,405, your $6,400 win plus your $5 bet. It takes a suited tie in the Lightning suit, which comes up about once in 237 rounds, and then the 8x multiplier.
No. A win returns your bet on top of the winnings, but not the fee, and when a tie returns half of a Dragon or Tiger bet, the fee on that bet is kept too. Only a cancelled round refunds your bets.
If you disconnect, your bets stay in play and are settled without you; the result shows in your game history. If an error cannot be fixed at once, the round is cancelled and bets are refunded, and a malfunction voids the round and all its payouts.
