Crash and Crumble suits players who want a quick round with its odds printed in the rules: the brick house stands in 48% of rounds for 1x to 5x, while the Wolf wins in 4% for 8x to 40x. Once betting closes there is nothing to decide, and the rules describe no cash out.

Play it if

  • You want to know how often each result comes up
  • You like a short round with a single outcome
  • You enjoy a side bet you can also play on its own

Variance profile

Medium. The brick house comes up in 48% of rounds but its multiplier tops out at 5x. The Wolf comes up in 4% of rounds for 8x to 40x, so bets on him lose most rounds and pay in bigger lumps.

The rules describe a win as the bet multiplied by the locked multiplier, but their paytable lists the same ranges as odds (brick house 1:1 to 5:1), so they do not make clear whether the stake comes back on top. They also do not say how the final multiplier inside each range is set.

How Crash and Crumble works

Big Bad Wolf: Crash and Crumble is a crash game built on the three little pigs story. You bet on the straw, wood or brick house surviving the Wolf, or on the Wolf blowing all three down.

1 5 bets

Pick a house or the Wolf

Before the timer ends, back the straw, wood or brick house to stay standing, the Wolf to blow all three down, or The Pig reveal side bet. You can back several at once.

2 Multipliers climb

The Wolf blows

A multiplier appears next to each house and the Wolf and climbs from its minimum toward its maximum the longer he blows: brick 1x to 5x, wood 1.5x to 7.5x, straw 3x to 15x, Wolf 8x to 40x.

3 Multipliers lock

One result stands

When he stops, the multipliers lock. One house stays up, or all three fall and the Wolf wins. Bets on that result are paid at its locked multiplier; the rest lose.

How often each result comes up

Playtech’s rules publish the chance of every outcome. One of these four results wins each round:

Bet Chance Multiplier
Brick house stands 48% 1x to 5x
Wood house stands 32% 1.5x to 7.5x
Straw house stands 16% 3x to 15x
Wolf blows all three down 4% 8x to 40x

The rarer the result, the higher its range. Where inside the range a win lands depends on how long the Wolf blows; the rules do not say how that is set.

The Pig reveal side bet

The Pig reveal wins if piglets show up in a house that fell. It pays 5x for one piglet, 10x for two and 20x for three, and piglets can appear in only one house per round. It can be played on its own, without a bet on any house or the Wolf, and loses if no piglet appears.

What the 96% means

The rules give a 96% theoretical return for the main game and 96% for The Pig reveal. Those are long run averages over a very large number of rounds, not a forecast for a session.
