Should you play it?

Spin a Win is a plain money wheel with no bonus games, so it suits players who want quick rounds and nothing to learn. The catch is how far the returns spread: the Odd side bet returns 97.22%, while 40 returns 90.81%.

Play it if

  • You want a simple wheel with no bonus rounds
  • You like the chance of x2 and x7 respins multiplying a win
  • You want to know the return on every bet before you play

Variance profile

Medium. It depends on the bet: 1 and the Odd and Even side bets pay small amounts, while 20, 40 and multiplier respins give the rarer big results.

How Spin a Win works

Spin a Win is a money wheel spun by a live host, with six numbers to bet on, two multiplier segments that respin the wheel, and three side bets.

1 6 numbers, 3 side bets

Place your chips

During the betting countdown, put chips on 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 or 40, or on the Odd, Even or Multiplier side bets. A side bet can be played without a number bet.

2 54 segments

The host spins the wheel

If it stops on a number, that number wins and pays its own odds: 5 pays 5 to 1, 40 pays 40 to 1.

3 x2 and x7

Multipliers spin again

On x2 or x7 your number bets stay put, Odd and Even lose, and the wheel is spun again in the same round. The next number's odds are multiplied, and several multipliers in a row multiply together.

An example round

Say you bet $1 on 10 and $1 on Odd, $2 in all.

  • Stops on 10: 10 to 1 pays $10, plus that $1 back. The Odd chip loses, so you end $9 up.
  • Stops on 5: Odd pays 3 to 4, so 75 cents plus that $1 back. The chip on 10 loses, so you end 25 cents down.
  • Stops on x2, then 10: Odd loses on the multiplier. 10 to 1 doubled is 20 to 1, so $20 plus that $1 back. You end $19 up.
  • Stops on 2, 20 or 40: both chips lose.

What the returns tell you

Playtech’s rules give a return for every bet, and the gap between them is wide. The best are the Odd side bet at 97.22%, 10 at 96.58% and the Multiplier side bet at 96.30%. Then come 2 at 95.51% and 1 at 95.34%. The lowest are 20 at 92.74%, Even at 91.67%, 5 at 91.24% and 40 at 90.81%. Higher payouts do not mean better value here: 40 pays the most and returns the least.

Good to know

Odd covers 1 and 5; Even covers 2, 10, 20 and 40. Both lose when the wheel stops on a multiplier. The Multiplier side bet pays 25 to 1 when the wheel stops on x2 or x7, but only once a round however many multipliers land in a row, and it is paid when a number finally decides the round. The rules say the wheel has 54 segments, two of them multipliers, but not how many segments carry each number.

Spin a Win FAQ

What is the RTP of Spin a Win?

It depends on the bet. Playtech’s rules give 97.22% on the Odd side bet, 96.58% on 10 and 96.30% on the Multiplier side bet, down to 90.81% on 40.

What do x2 and x7 do?

They are not wins on their own. Your bets stay in place and the wheel is spun again, and the next number’s odds are multiplied. For example, x2 then 5 pays 10 to 1.

What do the Odd and Even bets pay?

Odd wins on 1 or 5 and pays 3 to 4. Even wins on 2, 10, 20 or 40 and pays 5 to 4. Both lose if the wheel stops on a multiplier.

How often does 40 come up?

The rules do not say how many segments each number has, only that the wheel has 54 segments including the x2 and x7. 40 pays the most, 40 to 1, and returns the least, 90.81%.

Can I play only a side bet?

Yes. Odd, Even and Multiplier can be played without a bet on any number.
