Should you play it?

Mega Wheel is Pragmatic's simplest game show: pick numbers, watch one spin, collect. Every number returns about the same over time, 96.50% to 96.51% under Pragmatic's rules, so the choice is about how often you want to win, not about value.

Play it if

  • You want a game you can learn in a minute
  • You like a multiplier on top of an ordinary win
  • You prefer one spin a round with no bonus stages

Variance profile

High. The 1 lands often for small wins, while 30 and 40 come up rarely. The biggest results need the Mega Lucky Number to land on your number, which is rarer still.

Pragmatic's rules give the 54 segments as a whole but not how many carry each number. Because every number returns about the same over time, a bigger payout means fewer segments: 1 covers the most and 40 the fewest.

How Mega Wheel works

Mega Wheel is a big money wheel spun by a live host. You bet on the number you think the pointer will stop on, and one number each round can pay up to 500 times your bet.

1

Place your chips

During the betting countdown, put chips on any of the nine numbers, or press Bet on All to cover them all.

2

A Mega Lucky Number appears

Before the wheel stops, one number is picked at random as the Mega Lucky Number and given a multiplier of up to 500x.

3

See where it stops

If the pointer lands on your number you win at its odds: 5 pays 5 to 1, 40 pays 40 to 1. If that number is also the Mega Lucky Number, the multiplier sets the payout instead.

A wheel with nine numbers

The Mega Wheel is a tall, vertical wheel split into 54 segments. Each segment shows one of nine numbers, 1, 2, 5, 8, 10, 15, 20, 30 or 40, and the number is also its payout: a winning chip on 20 pays 20 to 1 and your stake comes back on top. The bigger the number, the fewer segments it has, so 1 wins most often and 40 least often.

The Mega Lucky Number

In every round, before the wheel comes to rest, one number is chosen at random as the Mega Lucky Number and given a Mega Multiplier. If the pointer then stops on that number and you have a chip on it, you get a MEGA WIN worth up to 500 times your bet. How high each number can go depends on the number: 1 can reach 100 to 1, 2 up to 200 to 1, 5, 8 and 10 up to 250 to 1, and 15 to 40 up to 500 to 1.

What it costs

Pragmatic’s game rules put the optimal return at 96.51%, with the nine numbers ranging from 96.50% to 96.51%. In other words every bet costs about 3.5% of what you stake over time, whichever number you pick. The Mega Lucky Number does not make the game cheaper; it is already part of that figure. Mega Wheel Latino is the same game hosted in Spanish from Pragmatic’s studio in Colombia.

Is there a Mega Wheel strategy?

No. Each spin is independent, the Mega Lucky Number is picked at random, and Pragmatic's rules put every number between 96.50% and 96.51%, so no choice of numbers changes what you lose on average.

The wheel has no memory

A number that has not landed for a while is no more likely to land next. The Last Winning Numbers board shows the past, not the future.

Every number costs about the same

Big numbers pay more because they cover fewer segments. Over time 1 and 40 return almost exactly the same share of what you stake, about 96.5%.

Covering more numbers costs more

Bet on All puts a chip on all nine numbers, so eight of them lose every spin. It makes a win certain, not profitable.

What you can control

How bumpy the ride is

Chips on 1 and 2 win often for small amounts. Chips on 30 and 40 win rarely and can go a long way between wins. Pick the pattern your budget can stand.

Your session budget

Decide what a session may cost before you start and stop when it is spent. A Mega Lucky Number is a bonus on a win, not a reason to keep chasing.

Mega Wheel FAQ

How many segments does the Mega Wheel have?

54. They carry nine numbers, 1, 2, 5, 8, 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40, and each number is also what it pays: 10 pays 10 to 1.

What is the Mega Lucky Number?

One number picked at random each round before the wheel stops. If the pointer lands on it and you have a chip there, you win its Mega Multiplier, up to 500 times your bet.

Which number is the best bet in Mega Wheel?

None by much. Pragmatic’s rules give the nine numbers returns between 96.50% and 96.51%, so the choice changes how often you win, not what you lose on average.

What is the most you can win?

Up to 500 times your bet on a single chip, when your number is the Mega Lucky Number and carries the top multiplier. Only 15, 20, 30 and 40 can reach 500x; 1 tops out at 100 to 1.
