A roulette game by Playtech
Single zero live roulette with the standard 35 to 1 paytable plus a Fruity Bet that pays 3x, 5x, 20x, 50x or 100x if the ball lands on one of five adjacent numbers.
Lucky Ball Roulette is a normal single zero table with an optional side bet. The layout bets return 97.30%; the Fruity Bet returns 95.29%, so it costs more than any layout bet in exchange for a shot at 100x.
Medium. Layout bets swing as on any single zero table. The Fruity Bet wins on 5 of the 37 pockets and its prize runs from 3x to 100x, so it swings more than an outside bet.
Bet on the layout as usual. To play the side bet, put a chip on the Fruity Bet before betting closes.
Once the spin starts, five numbers next to each other on the wheel are drawn, and the dealer starts a separate slot machine that sets one multiplier for all five: 3x, 5x, 20x, 50x or 100x.
Layout bets pay as normal, 35 to 1 straight up down to 1 to 1. If the ball lands on one of the five numbers, a Fruity Bet wins at the multiplier.
Lucky Ball Roulette is a single zero game with a live dealer and the standard paytable. Its addition is the Fruity Bet, a separate bet placed before the spin. Once the spin starts, five numbers that sit next to each other on the wheel are drawn, and a slot machine started by the dealer picks one multiplier for all five: 3x, 5x, 20x, 50x or 100x. If the winning number is one of the five, Fruity Bet stakes are paid at that multiplier.
Playtech’s rules give the main game a 97.30% return and the Fruity Bet 95.29%. So the side bet gives the house a bigger share than any layout bet, each of which carries the 2.70% single zero edge. The five numbers are drawn after the spin starts, so you cannot choose them, and the rules do not publish how often each multiplier comes up.
Everything else is ordinary European roulette: a split pays 17 to 1, a street 11 to 1, a corner 8 to 1, a six number line 5 to 1, and dozens and columns 2 to 1. The multiplier is paid only on the Fruity Bet; layout bets on the five numbers keep their normal payouts. Even money and 2 to 1 bets lose when zero lands.
The wheel has 37 pockets: the numbers 1 to 36 and a single zero. The game's rules list every bet and its payout, and what each bet pays back over time. Every figure below comes from those numbers.
Tap a number for a straight up bet, a line between two numbers for a split, a corner for four numbers, or the edge next to the dozens for a street or six line. Add as many bets as you like.
The green pocket is not red, black, odd, even, high or low, so every outside bet loses when it lands. That is where the house edge comes from.

Your chance, payout and cost per spin will show here. Over many spins these bets lose about a spin on average, of your stake, even though a single spin leaves you ahead of the time. These bets can never finish a spin ahead, only break even or lose, and over many spins they lose about a spin on average, of your stake. A winning straight up pays 35 to 1, which on its own gives back 97.30% of what you stake; the bonus games add more, but how much is not published, so the true cost of these bets is not known.

"A fair price" is the payout that would make a bet break even over time: the pockets it loses on for each pocket it wins on. Every payout here is below it.
2.70% house edge
One green pocket out of 37. $1 on red for 100 spins costs about $2.70 on average.
5.26% house edge
Two green pockets out of 38, almost double the cost: about $5.26 per 100 spins of $1 on red. The five number bet (0, 00, 1, 2, 3) costs even more, 7.89%.
The Fruity Bet is a separate side bet, not part of the layout. Each round five adjacent wheel numbers are drawn and one multiplier, 3x, 5x, 20x, 50x or 100x, is set for all five. Playtech's rules give it a 95.29% return, against 97.30% on every layout bet. How often each multiplier comes up is not published.
The rules at your casino may show different figures; its in game help is the version that applies to you.
No. The layout bets all return 97.30%, and the Fruity Bet returns less, 95.29%. The one decision that changes your cost is whether you add the side bet.
It returns 95.29% against 97.30% on the layout, so its edge is about one and three quarter times the layout's 2.70%. Every chip moved from the layout to the Fruity Bet raises your average cost.
They are drawn after the spin starts, so no number can be picked for them. Each pocket keeps its 1 in 37 chance.
If you like the multiplier draw, a small Fruity Bet next to your main bets keeps most of your stake at the 2.70% edge.
Leaving the Fruity Bet out keeps every chip at 97.30%, the best return at this table.

A side bet on five adjacent wheel numbers drawn each round. If the ball lands on one of them, it pays the round’s multiplier: 3x, 5x, 20x, 50x or 100x.
Playtech’s rules give 97.30% for the main game and 95.29% for the Fruity Bet. So the side bet is the more expensive bet, and the layout keeps the 2.70% single zero edge.
Yes. One multiplier is set each round and applies to all five numbers.
No. The multiplier is paid only on the Fruity Bet. Layout bets, straight up included, pay their normal amounts, 35 to 1 on a single number.
It wins when the ball lands on one of the five drawn numbers, 5 of the 37 pockets on every spin. The prize is the round’s multiplier, from 3x to 100x.
