Should you play it?

Sticky Bandits Roulette suits players who want a slot style bonus on a dealer table and like a side stake that shares in it. Ordinary inside wins are cut to 29 to 1 on a straight up, the Bandit Bet costs 7 times your chip, and Playtech gives 97.3% for the game.

Play it if

  • You bet inside numbers and like a sticky symbol bonus round
  • You want a side stake that joins any bonus without needing your own number
  • You want a standard European single zero wheel underneath

Variance profile

High. Ordinary inside wins pay less than on a standard table and value moves into a bonus that can pay as little as 11 to 1 or more than 5,000 to 1 on a straight up. The Bandit Bet adds a large stake that pays only through that bonus.

How Sticky Bandits Roulette works

1 Inside bets or Bandit Bet

Place your bets

Bet on the layout as usual. Inside bets on a Bandit number can enter the bonus, and the optional Bandit Bet, at 7 times your chip, joins any bonus that triggers.

2 3 Bandits, 1 Lucky

Bandits are marked

As the round starts, three numbers get a Bandit worth 1x, 3x or 5x, shown in green, blue or orange, and one Lucky Number gets a 2x, 3x or 4x multiplier.

3 29:1 or the bonus

The ball decides

A qualifying win on a Bandit number plays the Bandit Bonus instead of its normal payout. A winning inside bet on the Lucky Number is multiplied. Other straight up wins pay 29 to 1.

The Bandit Bonus

Sticky Bandits Roulette comes from Playtech’s Quickspin Live division and is built around Quickspin’s Sticky Bandits series. When the ball lands on a Bandit number, a 3×3 grid appears with eight lines across it: three rows, three columns and two diagonals. Each line is given one of the multipliers 20x, 20x, 30x, 30x, 30x, 50x, 100x or 300x.

The bonus starts with 3 spins. A cigar adds 1x to your total, a hat 2x, and a Bandit adds the value of the number that triggered the bonus: 1x for green, 3x for blue, 5x for orange. Cigars and hats clear after each spin, but Bandits stick and add their value again on every spin that follows, and each new Bandit resets the count to 3 spins. Fill a line with three Bandits and its line multiplier comes into play. The bonus ends when the spins run out or the grid is full.

The game rules give a worked example. On a blue 3x trigger, a Bandit and a cigar make 4x after the first spin. Two Bandits and two hats on the second add 10x, for 14x. A cigar and a hat beside the two Bandits on the third add 9x, for 23x.

The Lucky Number and the Bandit Bet

Every round, one number is also the Lucky Number with a 2x, 3x or 4x multiplier. A winning straight up, split, street, corner, basket or line on it is multiplied. If the Lucky Number is also a Bandit number, the multiplier is applied to the bonus symbols and lines before the bonus starts.

The Bandit Bet sits on the racetrack and costs 7 times your chip. It qualifies you for any Bandit Bonus that triggers, whichever Bandit number comes up, and is paid one seventh of the bonus total, up to 743 to 1. It pays only through the bonus.

What the paytable gives up

A bet that qualifies for the bonus is paid the bonus result instead of its normal win, divided by the numbers it covers: half for a split, a third for a street, a quarter for a corner and a sixth for a line. The rules list a straight up Bandit Bonus at 11 to 5,207 to 1, so a weak bonus can pay less than an ordinary win. Away from a Bandit number a straight up pays 29 to 1, a split 14 to 1, a street 9 to 1 and a line 4 to 1, below a standard table. Outside bets pay as normal. Playtech gives 97.3% for the game, not a figure for each bet or for the Bandit Bet.

The math behind Sticky Bandits Roulette

Playtech gives 97.3% for the game, but no return for each bet and none for the Bandit Bet on its own. These are the figures that are published.

A straight up bet wins on 1 of 37 pockets (2.70%), and its ordinary 29 to 1 payout returns only 81.08% of what you stake on its own. The rest of a straight up bet's value comes from the Bandit Bonus and the Lucky Number multiplier, and how often each pays, or how much on average, is not published.

The green pocket is not red, black, odd, even, high or low, so every outside bet loses when it lands. That is where the house edge comes from.

Is there a Sticky Bandits Roulette strategy?

No. The Bandit numbers and the Lucky Number are drawn at random once the round starts, and the Bandit Bet buys a share of a bonus that still needs one of three numbers to come up.

    Three numbers out of 37

A Bandit Bonus starts only when the ball lands on one of the three Bandit numbers. Their colors set what each Bandit symbol is worth, not how often they land.

The Bandit Bet is a share, not a shortcut

It joins every bonus that triggers and is paid one seventh of the total. It does not make a bonus more likely, and it costs 7 chips each time.

    What you can control

Count the Bandit Bet in your stake

With a Bandit Bet down, every round costs 7 chips more than the layout shows, whether or not a Bandit number comes up.

Inside for the bonus, outside for steady play

Only straight ups, splits, streets, corners, baskets and lines on a Bandit number reach the bonus or the Lucky multiplier. Red, black, dozens and columns pay their usual amounts.

    Sticky Bandits Roulette FAQ

How does the Bandit Bonus work in Sticky Bandits Roulette?

It is a 3×3 grid with eight multiplier lines and 3 spins. Cigars add 1x, hats 2x and Bandits 1x, 3x or 5x; Bandits stick, add their value every spin and reset the spins to 3. The total is paid on your qualifying bet.

What is the Bandit Bet in Sticky Bandits Roulette?

An optional bet costing 7 times your chip that joins any Bandit Bonus that triggers, whatever number your other chips are on. It is paid one seventh of the bonus total, up to 743 to 1.

What does the Lucky Number do?

One number a round gets a 2x, 3x or 4x multiplier. It multiplies a winning inside bet on that number and, if the number is also a Bandit number, the whole bonus.

    Who makes Sticky Bandits Roulette?

Playtech’s Quickspin Live division. It launched in May 2024 as its second game after Big Bad Wolf Live, on a standard European roulette wheel.

Can a Bandit Bonus pay less than a normal win?

Yes. A qualifying bet is paid the bonus result instead of its normal win, and the rules list a straight up bonus from 11 to 1 up to 5,207 to 1, against an ordinary 29 to 1.

Is the Bandit Bet worth it?

Its return is not published separately. It costs 7 times your chip and pays one seventh of the bonus total, up to 743 to 1, so it adds cost every round without making a bonus more likely.
