  • You like placing Voisins, Tiers or Orphelins in one go
  • You want the standard 35 to 1 straight up payout

Variance profile

Medium. Your bet sets the swing: a single number wins about once in 37 spins and pays 35 to 1, while red or black wins almost half the time at even money. Both cost 2.70% over time.

How Classic Roulette works

Two studios, one wheel

Classic Roulette is Winfinity’s live dealer roulette, dealt in two studios: The Bar, in dark brown wood and green glass tiles with single malts on the shelves, and Luxurious Palazzo, with Venetian plaster, Italian marble, a vintage spiral staircase and olive trees. The wheel has 37 pockets, the numbers 1 to 36 and a single zero, and a machine learning video recognition system reads each result.

Bets and payouts

The layout carries the usual bets. A straight up number pays 35 to 1, a split 17 to 1, a street 11 to 1, a corner 8 to 1, a line of six numbers 5 to 1, a column or a dozen 2 to 1, and red or black, odd or even, 1 to 18 or 19 to 36 pay even money. No outside bet covers zero, so those bets lose when it lands. Winfinity puts the return at 97.30%, the 1 in 37 house edge of a single zero wheel: 2.70% on every bet. Some tables cap how many straight up bets you can place in one round; the cap does not touch any other bet.

Racetrack and special bets

A racetrack lays the numbers out in wheel order: tap a number to bet it with its neighbors on the wheel, and choose how many neighbors. The French call bets go on in one tap: Voisins du Zero (9 chips, 17 numbers), Tiers du Cylindre (6 chips, 12 numbers), Orphelins a Cheval (5 chips, 8 numbers) and Jeu Zero (4 chips, 7 numbers). Finale en plein and Finale a cheval bets and complete bets on a number sit under the favorites, where you can save up to 12 bets of your own. Each is made of ordinary straight ups, splits, streets and corners, so it costs the same 2.70%. The statistics show up to 500 recent results.

The math behind Classic Roulette

The wheel has 37 pockets: the numbers 1 to 36 and a single zero. The game's rules list every bet and its payout, and what each bet pays back over time. Every figure below comes from those numbers.

Try it: place your bets

Tap a number for a straight up bet, a line between two numbers for a split, a corner for four numbers, or the edge next to the dozens for a street or six line. Add as many bets as you like.

The green pocket is not red, black, odd, even, high or low, so every outside bet loses when it lands. That is where the house edge comes from.

    One zero or two

    This table

    Single zero, 37 pockets

    2.70% house edge

One green pocket out of 37. $1 on red for 100 spins costs about $2.70 on average.

    Double zero, 38 pockets

    5.26% house edge

Two green pockets out of 38, almost double the cost: about $5.26 per 100 spins of $1 on red. The five number bet (0, 00, 1, 2, 3) costs even more, 7.89%.

    Same game, different presentation

Winfinity's Classic Roulette deals the standard single zero game with a dealer at the wheel. Every bet returns 97.30%, so no bet is cheaper than another: a 35 to 1 straight up and an even money red are priced the same, they just win at very different rates.

The rules at your casino may show different figures; its in game help is the version that applies to you.

Is there a Classic Roulette strategy?

No. Every bet on this table costs 2.70%, and nothing you do at the layout changes the 1 in 37 chance of any pocket.

    Recent results are history

The statistics show up to 500 past spins. The wheel has no memory, so every number is still 1 in 37 on the next spin.

    Call bets are bundles

Voisins, Tiers, Orphelins and Jeu Zero are groups of ordinary bets. They spread your stake over a sector of the wheel at the same 2.70% cost.

    What you can control

Pick how you want to win

Even money bets win often for small amounts, a single number rarely for 35 times the stake. The cost over time is the same.

    Size your session

At 2.70% a spin, $10 a round costs about 27 cents on average. Set a money and time limit before you start.
