Should you play it?

The free doubles and splits feel generous, but the dealer 22 push pays for them: CreedRoomz rates the game at 99.06% against 99.54% for its classic Blackjack. Six Card Charlie is a small extra in your favor.

Play it if

  • You like doubling and splitting without putting more money down
  • You enjoy Six Card Charlie, where six cards without busting wins
  • You want Bet Behind and side bets at a free bet table

Variance profile

Medium. Free doubles and splits add bigger wins on some hands while dealer 22 pushes take wins away on others, so results swing a little more than at a classic table.

How Free Bet Blackjack works

1 9, 10, 11

Free double

With a first two card total of 9, 10 or 11 you can double without adding to your bet.

2 Any pair but tens

Free split

Split any pair except 10 value cards and the bet on the new hand is free.

3 Dealer 22

A push, not a win

When the dealer finishes on 22, every active hand pushes, except a player blackjack, which still wins.

The game

Free Bet Blackjack, listed on CreedRoomz’s own site as Freebet Blackjack, gives you free doubles and free splits in exchange for one rule in the dealer’s favor. It is dealt at tables such as CREED A, CREED B, CREED C, Fiesta, Brazilian A, Turkish A, Turkish B, VIP A, Premium A and Vision A to D, with up to seven players at a table.

The rules

Eight decks, and the dealer draws to 16 and stands on all 17s, with the dealer’s second card dealt face down. You can double on any first two cards for one more card, and split two cards of equal value into two hands; split Aces get one card each, and a 10 on a split Ace counts as 21, not blackjack. Blackjack pays 3:2 and insurance pays 2:1; insurance costs half your bet and is not offered when you hold blackjack. CreedRoomz rates the main game at 99.06%.

Free doubles, free splits and the 22 push

With a first two card total of 9, 10 or 11 you can double for free, and you can split any pair except 10 value cards for free. The price is the dealer’s 22: instead of busting, it pushes every active hand, except a player blackjack, which still wins. Six Card Charlie works for you: a hand of six or more cards without busting wins automatically, even against a dealer blackjack. Cashout is on offer at any decision, but always taking it rates the game at 95.23%. Bet Behind lets you back another player’s hand.

Side bets

Perfect Pair pays up to 25:1 on a pair in your first two cards (95.90%), and 21+3 pays up to 100:1 on your two cards and the dealer’s up card (96.30%). On the dealer’s side, Dealer Perfect Pair pays up to 25:1 on the dealer’s first two cards (95.90%), and the Three Card Bonus pays 33:1, 9:1 or 3:1 for three of a kind, a straight or a flush among any three dealer cards (91.66%). Some tables add Honey Bonus (94.06%), Lucky 7 (91.37%) and the 4 Card Bonus (94.51%).
