Should you play it?

A straightforward American table where the dealer stands on all 17s and checks for blackjack with an Ace up. The eighth seat is the selling point: one more chance of a place at busy times. Leave the side bets and the optional Super Stake alone and it is one of Stakelogic's cheapest games.

Play it if

  • You want a seat at a busy time; there are eight
  • You like a dealer who stands on all 17s
  • You want a plain game without a mandatory fee

Variance profile

Low. One even money hand per round with no mandatory extras, so the swings are those of any classic table unless you switch Super Stake on.

How Extended Blackjack works

Eight seats at one table

Extended Blackjack is Stakelogic’s American blackjack with eight seats instead of the usual seven, so one more player gets a hand each round. Bet Behind is there for everyone else.

The rules

Eight decks, dealer stands on all 17s and draws to 16. The dealer takes a face down hole card and checks it for blackjack when the up card is an Ace. You can double on your first two cards for one more card and split once, with one card on each split Ace; 21 after a split pays even money. There is no surrender. Blackjack pays 3:2, insurance pays 2:1, and even money is offered when you hold blackjack against an Ace. Stakelogic puts the return at 99.514% with optimal play.

Extras to leave alone

The table also carries Stakelogic’s optional Super Stake feature, which adds 50% of your bet for Golden Card multipliers up to 100x, and four side bets: Golden Pairs (95.90%), 3 (96.30%), Gold 3 (91.00%) and Buzz-T (94.12%). Every one of them returns less than the main game, so the cheapest way to play is basic strategy for eight decks with the dealer standing on soft 17, no insurance and no extras.
