Taxes on winnings in Alaska
Here is the good news. Alaska has no state personal income tax, so it takes no cut of your gambling winnings at the state level (Alaska Department of Revenue). That does not make the money tax-free; it means the only tax that applies is federal.
And the federal side is real.
