Because Unlimited Blackjack uses 8 Decks and the Dealer Stands on Soft 17, use the following strategy to minimize the house edge.

1. Hard Hands (No Ace, or Ace counts as 1)

  • 8 or less: Always HIT.
  • 9: DOUBLE if Dealer shows 3 thru 6. Otherwise HIT.
  • 10: DOUBLE if Dealer shows 2 thru 9. Otherwise HIT.
  • 11: DOUBLE if Dealer shows 2 thru 10. HIT if Dealer shows Ace.
  • 12: STAND if Dealer shows 4 thru 6. Otherwise HIT.
  • 13 – 16: STAND if Dealer shows 2 thru 6. Otherwise HIT.
  • 17 or higher: Always STAND.

2. Soft Hands (Contains an Ace counted as 11)

  • A,2 or A,3: DOUBLE if Dealer shows 5 or 6. Otherwise HIT.
  • A,4 or A,5: DOUBLE if Dealer shows 4 thru 6. Otherwise HIT.
  • A,6: DOUBLE if Dealer shows 3 thru 6. Otherwise HIT.
  • A,7: STAND against Dealer 2, 7, or 8. DOUBLE against Dealer 3 thru 6. HIT against Dealer 9, 10, or Ace.
  • A,8 or higher: Always STAND.

3. Pairs (When to Split)

  • Aces & 8s: ALWAYS SPLIT.
  • 10s, 5s: NEVER SPLIT. (Treat 5s as a hard 10 and Double against 2-9).
  • 9s: SPLIT against Dealer 2 thru 6, and 8, 9. STAND against Dealer 7, 10, or Ace.
  • 2s, 3s, 7s: SPLIT against Dealer 2 thru 7. Otherwise HIT.
  • 4s: SPLIT against Dealer 5 or 6. Otherwise HIT.

How to Play

1. The Objective

The goal is to beat the dealer by having a hand value closer to 21 than the dealer’s without exceeding 21.

  • Number Cards (2-10): Face value.
  • Face Cards (J, Q, K): Worth 10.
  • Aces: Worth 1 or 11.

2. Betting Phase

  • Seating: Click on a “Free Seat” (virtually unlimited).
  • Placing Bets: Select your chip value and click the betting spot. Side bets can only be placed after a main Blackjack bet is made.
  • Timer: Bets must be confirmed before the timer expires.

3. Player Decisions

If you fail to act within the time limit, the game defaults to Stand.

  • Hit: Take another card.
  • Stand: Take no further action.
  • Double Down: Double your bet and receive exactly one card. Available on any two initial cards.
  • Split: Available on pairs (e.g., 6-6, A-A). If you split, your bet is doubled. You can Double Down after splitting. Note: Split Aces receive only one card and cannot be hit.

4. Dealer Rules

  • The dealer must draw to 16.
  • The dealer Stands on Soft 17.
  • If the dealer busts, all remaining active player hands win.
