Should you play it?

Underneath is the same eight deck game as Iconic21's classic tables, so the chart below applies. The Blackjack Bonus is optional: it only pays on a two card blackjack, which most rounds are not, so treat it as a small extra and play the main hand by the chart.

Play it if

  • You like a shot at a multiplied blackjack
  • You like a dealer who stands on soft 17
  • You want to double after splitting

Variance profile

Medium. The main hand swings like any classic table; the Blackjack Bonus wins rarely and pays big when it does, so it adds swings only if you play it.

Basic strategy for this table

Worked out for these rules: 8 decks, dealer stands on soft 17, double on any two cards, double after split, one split with one card to each split Ace, no surrender, and the dealer checks for blackjack only with an Ace up, so a dealer blackjack under a 10 found after you act takes every bet except a player blackjack.

How Blackjack Bonus Live works

1 Optional

Place the Blackjack Bonus

Put a chip on the Blackjack Bonus spot before the round starts, next to your main bet.

2 x2 to x100

A multiplier is revealed

When betting closes, a multiplier of x2, x3, x5, x10, x25 or x100 shows on the widget above the table.

3 Natural only

A blackjack collects it

If your first two cards are an Ace and a ten value card, the side bet pays the revealed multiplier. Any other start loses it.

Blackjack with a multiplied natural

Blackjack Bonus Live is Iconic21’s seven seat live blackjack with one extra: the optional Blackjack Bonus side bet. When betting closes a multiplier of x2, x3, x5, x10, x25 or x100 is revealed on a widget above the table and stays in view for the round. If your first two cards are a blackjack, the side bet pays that multiplier; any other start loses it. The main game is unchanged, and when the seats are full you can Bet Behind a seated player.

The rules

Eight decks, and the dealer stands on all 17s, soft 17 included. Blackjack pays 3:2, other wins pay even money, and insurance costs half your bet and pays 2:1. You can double on any first two cards for one more card, also after a split. You split once, split Aces get one card each, and an Ace and a ten after a split counts as 21, not blackjack. There is no surrender. The dealer checks the hole card only with an Ace up. With a 10 up, a dealer blackjack shows after everyone has acted and takes every bet except a player blackjack, doubles and splits included. Ten cards without busting win automatically, and if you run out of time the game hits 11 or less and stands on 12 or more.

Side bets

Besides the Blackjack Bonus, Pairs pays on a suited, colored or mixed pair in your first two cards, and Poker 3 pays when your two cards and the dealer’s up card make a poker hand from a flush up to suited trips.
