Should you play it?

The same eight deck rules as Iconic21's classic tables, so the chart below applies to every hand you play. What you pay for is the table to yourself: up to seven hands, your choice of dealer and shoe, and the pace you want, at a high minimum bet.

Play it if

  • You want a table to yourself
  • You like to play several hands at once
  • You want to set the pace and pick the dealer

Variance profile

Medium. Each hand swings like any classic table, but playing several hands a round puts more money on each deal, so a session moves faster in both directions.

Basic strategy for this table

Worked out for these rules: 8 decks, dealer stands on soft 17, double on any two cards, double after split, one split with one card to each split Ace, no surrender, and the dealer checks for blackjack only with an Ace up, so a dealer blackjack under a 10 found after you act takes every bet except a player blackjack.

How Private Edition Blackjack works

1 7 seats

Take the whole table

One player has all seven seats and can play up to seven hands at once.

2 Your dealer

Keep or change the dealer

Ask for a dealer change, or keep the dealer you have.

3 Your shoe

Ask for new cards

Request a shoe change whenever you want fresh cards.

A seven seat table for one

Private Edition Blackjack reserves a whole seven seat live blackjack table for a single player, with a high minimum bet. You can play up to all seven hands at once, ask for a different dealer or a new shoe, or keep the ones you have, and with nobody else at the table the dealer’s attention is yours and the decision time is longer. The table sits in front of an LED wall whose background can change. Some tables also let you double face down, with the extra card kept hidden until the dealer finishes.

The rules

Eight decks, and the dealer stands on all 17s, soft 17 included. Blackjack pays 3:2, other wins pay even money, and insurance costs half your bet and pays 2:1. You can double on any first two cards for one more card, also after a split. You split once, split Aces get one card each, and an Ace and a ten after a split counts as 21, not blackjack. There is no surrender. The dealer checks the hole card only with an Ace up. With a 10 up, a dealer blackjack shows after everyone has acted and takes every bet except a player blackjack, doubles and splits included. Ten cards without busting win automatically, and if you run out of time the game hits 11 or less and stands on 12 or more.

Side bets

Pairs pays on a suited, colored or mixed pair in your first two cards, and Poker 3 pays when your two cards and the dealer’s up card make a poker hand from a flush up to suited trips.
