Pragmatic's double zero roulette: 38 pockets, the usual payouts, and a house edge of 5.26% on most bets, almost twice a single zero table.
American Roulette pays the same 35 to 1 as European roulette but adds a second green pocket, which nearly doubles the house edge to 5.26%. The five number bet is worse still at 7.89%. Choose a single zero table if one is available.
Medium. Outside bets win a little less often than on a single zero wheel, 18 of 38 spins, and straight up bets swing hard. Over time every bet loses faster here.

The ball is spun in a wheel with the numbers 1 to 36, a zero and a double zero.
A straight up win pays 35 to 1 and red or black 1 to 1. The two green pockets beat every outside bet.
American Roulette from Pragmatic Play uses a wheel with 38 pockets: the numbers 1 to 36, a single zero and a double zero. The payouts are the familiar ones, 35 to 1 for a straight up win down to 1 to 1 for red or black, but because there is one more losing pocket for every bet, the house keeps more of each stake.
The American layout adds a five number bet, which Pragmatic’s rules call the Five Line, covering 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3 and paying 6 to 1. A fair price would be 6.6 to 1, so it is the most expensive bet on the table, with a 7.89% edge.
Pragmatic’s help leaves the return figures to each casino’s settings, but the payouts and the 38 pockets fix the price exactly: every ordinary bet returns 94.74%, a 5.26% house edge, and the five number bet returns 92.11%. A single zero table, such as Pragmatic’s standard Roulette, costs 2.70% on the same bets.
The wheel has 38 pockets: the numbers 1 to 36 and two green pockets, 0 and 00. The game's rules list every bet and its payout. Every figure below comes from those numbers: the house edge is worked out exactly from the payouts and the pockets.
Tap a number for a straight up bet, a line between two numbers for a split, a corner for four numbers, or the edge next to the dozens for a street or six line. Add as many bets as you like.
The green pockets are not red, black, odd, even, high or low, so every outside bet loses when one lands. That is where the house edge comes from.

Your chance, payout and cost per spin will show here. Over many spins these bets lose about a spin on average, of your stake, even though a single spin leaves you ahead of the time. These bets can never finish a spin ahead, only break even or lose, and over many spins they lose about a spin on average, of your stake. A winning straight up pays 35 to 1, which on its own gives back 94.74% of what you stake; the bonus games add more, but how much is not published, so the true cost of these bets is not known.

"A fair price" is the payout that would make a bet break even over time: the pockets it loses on for each pocket it wins on. Every payout here is below it. No RTP figures are published; these are worked out exactly from the payouts and the 38 pockets.
2.70% house edge
One green pocket out of 37. $1 on red for 100 spins costs about $2.70 on average.
5.26% house edge
Two green pockets out of 38, almost double the cost: about $5.26 per 100 spins of $1 on red. The five number bet (0, 00, 1, 2, 3) costs even more, 7.89%.
Every ordinary bet here returns 94.74%. The five number bet is the exception: it covers 5 pockets, so a fair price would be 6.6 to 1, but it pays 6 to 1 and costs 7.89%. It is the one bet on the table to avoid.

No. Every ordinary bet carries a 5.26% edge and the five number bet 7.89%, and no betting pattern moves either figure.
Every ordinary payout is set as if the wheel had 36 numbers. The two green pockets are the edge: 2 in 38, or 5.26%.
It pays 6 to 1 where a fair price would be 6.6 to 1, which makes it 7.89%, the dearest bet on the layout.
House edge, cheapest first. A shorter bar costs less.
Where a casino offers both, single zero roulette costs 2.70% on the same bets, about half as much.
