Should you play it?

Crystal Roulette is about the look: a transparent wheel in a sparkling studio. Underneath it is ordinary single zero roulette, so the price of every bet is the usual 2.70% edge.

Play it if

  • You like a striking studio and close camera work
  • You want classic bets with the standard 35 to 1 payout
  • You use the statistics board to choose numbers for fun

Variance profile

Medium. The same as any single zero table: outside bets move slowly, straight up bets swing hard, and every bet costs the same over time.

A new look for a classic

Crystal Roulette, launched by Pragmatic Play in 2026, is built around a see through roulette wheel set in a sparkling studio and filmed in high definition close ups from exclusive camera angles. Pragmatic describes the gameplay as classic European roulette with traditional betting options, racetrack bets, advanced statistics, autoplay and the option to save favorite bets.

The same paytable

Nothing about the transparent wheel changes the game. It still has 37 pockets, the numbers 1 to 36 and one zero, and the standard payouts from Pragmatic’s roulette rules: 35 to 1 straight up, 17 to 1 for a split, 11 to 1 for a street, 8 to 1 for a corner, 5 to 1 for a six line, 2 to 1 for dozens and columns and 1 to 1 for the even money bets.

What it costs

With a single zero and those payouts, every bet carries a 2.70% house edge, worked out exactly from the 37 pockets. The statistics board makes it easy to pick hot or cold numbers, but each spin is independent, so it is a way to choose numbers, not a way to improve the odds.

The math behind Crystal Roulette

The wheel has 37 pockets: the numbers 1 to 36 and a single zero. The game's rules list every bet and its payout. Every figure below comes from those numbers: the house edge is worked out exactly from the payouts and the pockets.

Try it: place your bets

Tap a number for a straight up bet, a line between two numbers for a split, a corner for four numbers, or the edge next to the dozens for a street or six line. Add as many bets as you like.

The green pocket is not red, black, odd, even, high or low, so every outside bet loses when it lands. That is where the house edge comes from.

"A fair price" is the payout that would make a bet break even over time: the pockets it loses on for each pocket it wins on. Every payout here is below it. No RTP figures are published; these are worked out exactly from the payouts and the 37 pockets.

    One zero or two

    This table

    Single zero, 37 pockets

    2.70% house edge

One green pocket out of 37. $1 on red for 100 spins costs about $2.70 on average.

    Double zero, 38 pockets

    5.26% house edge

Two green pockets out of 38, almost double the cost: about $5.26 per 100 spins of $1 on red. The five number bet (0, 00, 1, 2, 3) costs even more, 7.89%.

    Same game, different presentation

Crystal Roulette deals the ordinary single zero game on a transparent wheel, filmed close up, with the standard paytable. Every bet returns 97.30%, so no bet is cheaper than another: a 35 to 1 straight up and an even money red are priced the same, they just win at very different rates.

Official rules: Pragmatic Play Roulette game rules, checked October 17, 2026. The rules at your casino may show different figures; its in game help is the version that applies to you.

Is there a Crystal Roulette strategy?

No. Crystal Roulette is classic single zero roulette, so every bet carries the same 2.70% edge, however the wheel looks.

    The statistics are history

Pragmatic's advanced statistics show past results. A number that has come up often is no more likely to come up again.

    What you can control

    Pick your ride

Outside bets win often for small amounts; straight up bets win rarely for 35 times the stake. Both cost the same over time.

Does the see through wheel change the odds?

No. It still has 37 pockets, so every number has a 1 in 37 chance and every bet carries a 2.70% edge.
