Should you play it?

PowerUP Roulette is built around its bonus spins: when a PowerUP Number lands, every straight up chip on the table plays on, whatever number it was on. That makes straight up the bet to watch, priced with a 24 to 1 ordinary payout. Outside bets pay as normal and cost the usual 2.70%.

Play it if

  • You bet straight up numbers and want a bonus that does not depend on picking the lucky number
  • You enjoy chains of bonus spins with rising prizes
  • You want a single zero wheel

Variance profile

High. Ordinary straight up wins pay 24 to 1, and much of the value is held back for bonus spins that come rarely and can chain up to five times. Outside bets swing no more than at any single zero table.

How PowerUP Roulette works

1 Every standard bet

Place your bets

Bet as on a classic single zero table. Only straight up bets can take part in the PowerUP spins.

2 3 to 5 a spin

PowerUP Numbers

Once betting closes, three, four or five numbers become PowerUP Numbers. Lines beside the betting board hint at how big the hidden multipliers are in each section.

3 Up to 5 rounds

The PowerUP spins

If the ball lands on a PowerUP Number, every straight up bet stays on the board for a bonus spin and wins the multiplier shown on its number. Another PowerUP Number keeps the run going, up to five spins.

A bonus for every straight up chip

PowerUP Roulette is a European wheel with every standard bet and a live presenter. Each spin, three to five numbers become PowerUP Numbers. If the ball lands on one, the round turns into a PowerUP bonus spin, and every straight up bet on the layout qualifies, not just the ones on the winning number. Ordinary wins from that first spin are paid as usual, and an ordinary straight up win pays 24 to 1.

How the PowerUP spins work

At the start of the bonus, hidden multipliers are revealed under every number. The wheel is spun again; if it lands on a number where you have a straight up chip, you win that number’s multiplier. If it lands on a new PowerUP Number, the bonus goes on with higher multipliers, up to five spins in all. Pragmatic says the first spin can pay up to 500x and the fifth up to 8,000x, with a maximum of 15,525x on one straight up bet across all five. Winnings collect in a Total win box and are paid when the bonus ends.

What it costs

Outside bets keep standard payouts, so they cost 2.70% of every stake over time. Pragmatic’s rules leave the straight up return to each casino’s settings, so check the figure in the game help at your table. The rules also print the odds of the top prize, a total of 15,524 to 1: one in 4,605,445,072,916,950,000 rounds. A round’s total payout is also capped by the table limits.

The math behind PowerUP Roulette

Pragmatic's game rules leave the return on straight up bets to the casino's settings and do not publish how the hidden multipliers are drawn. These are the figures that are published.

Standard payouts, a 2.70% house edge worked out from the 37 pockets

A straight up bet wins on 1 of 37 pockets (2.70%), and its ordinary 24 to 1 payout returns only 67.57% of what you stake on its own. The PowerUP spins supply the rest of a straight up bet's value, and the share they add depends on the casino's settings.

Try it: place your bets

Tap a number to place a straight up bet; it is the only bet with a published payout here. The other boxes are shown for reference.

The green pocket is not red, black, odd, even, high or low, so every outside bet loses when it lands. That is where the house edge comes from.

Is there a PowerUP Roulette strategy?

No. PowerUP Numbers and their multipliers are drawn at random, every number keeps its 1 in 37 chance, and outside bets cost a fixed 2.70%.

The lines are a hint, not an edge

The lines beside each section show where the bigger hidden multipliers sit for this spin, but the ball is no more likely to land there. Moving chips toward them changes what a hit pays, not how often you hit.

    Any straight up chip qualifies

Because every straight up bet joins the PowerUP spins, there is no need to cover the PowerUP Numbers themselves. Spreading chips raises your chance of a hit in the bonus and your stake by the same amount.

    What you can control

    Straight up or outside

Only straight up chips can play the PowerUP spins. Outside bets win more often, never join the bonus, and cost 2.70%.

    Know the cap

A round's total payout is limited by the table. Check the Payouts and Limits panel before raising your stake.

    PowerUP Roulette FAQ

Do I need a chip on the PowerUP Number to play the bonus?

No. When a PowerUP Number lands, every straight up bet on the layout qualifies for the PowerUP spins, wherever it was placed.

How many PowerUP spins can there be?

Up to five. Each time the bonus spin lands on a new PowerUP Number, another spin follows with higher multipliers.

What is the biggest win in PowerUP Roulette?

Pragmatic gives a maximum of 15,525x on one straight up bet across five PowerUP spins. Its rules put the odds of that top prize at one in 4,605,445,072,916,950,000.

What does an ordinary straight up win pay?

24 to 1. The reduction from 35 to 1 is what funds the PowerUP multipliers.

What are the odds in PowerUP Roulette?

Each number has a 1 in 37 chance (2.70%) on every spin, including the PowerUP spins, and red or black wins 48.65% of spins. Outside bets cost a 2.70% house edge; the straight up return is set by the casino.

Is there a PowerUP Roulette strategy that works?

No. The PowerUP Numbers and multipliers are random, and every straight up bet joins the bonus anyway, so no placement improves your odds.
