Should you play it?

Infinite Blackjack is one of Evolution's cheapest tables: classic rules, Six Card Charlie on top, and a 0.53% house edge with the chart below. Play it for a seat at any hour and a low cost per hand, and leave the four side bets alone.

Play it if

  • You want a seat at any hour, from $1 a hand
  • You like that six cards without going over 21 win outright
  • You play basic strategy and want a 0.53% house edge

Variance profile

Low. Plain even money blackjack: no fee, no multipliers, no bonus pool. Swings are those of a classic table, with Six Card Charlie adding a few extra wins.

Against a 10, the dealer does not check for blackjack. A dealer blackjack turned over at the end takes every chip on the hand, doubles and splits included. That is why this chart hits 10 and 11 against a 10, and hits a pair of 8s against a 10 instead of splitting them.

Six Card Charlie changes the late hits. With four cards, hit hard 12 against anything, hard 13 against a 2, soft 18 against anything but a 7, and soft 19 against a 10. With five cards, hit hard 12 to 15 against anything, hard 16 against everything except 4, 5 and 6, hard 17 against 9, 10 and Ace, and every soft total under 21: no card can bust it, so the sixth card wins.

Three card 16 against a 10: stand. With exactly three cards, standing on hard 16 against a 10 edges out hitting. With four or five cards, hit it as the chart says.

How Infinite Blackjack works

1 Unlimited seats

One deal for everyone

The dealer deals the same first two cards to every player at the table, however many join.

2 Your call

Play the hand your way

Each player then hits, stands, doubles or splits on their own, so one deal can end differently for each player.

3 6 cards

Six Card Charlie

Reach six cards without going over 21 and the hand wins at once, whatever the dealer holds.

One deal for the whole table

Infinite Blackjack, launched by Evolution in 2018, removes the seven seat limit. Every player at the table gets the same first two cards, and from there each player hits, stands, doubles or splits on their own, so the same deal can end as a win for one player and a loss for another. Nobody waits for a seat.

Classic rules plus one bonus

The rules are Evolution’s classic set: eight decks, the dealer stands on all 17s, blackjack pays 3:2, double on any two cards, one split with no double after it, and no surrender. The one addition is Six Card Charlie: a hand of six cards that has not gone over 21 wins at once. Evolution publishes a 99.47% return with best play, against 99.29% at its classic seven seat tables, and Six Card Charlie is the difference.

The rule that changes the chart

The dealer checks for blackjack only with an Ace showing. With a 10 up the hole card stays unchecked, so a dealer blackjack turned over at the end beats every hand, doubled and split bets included, unless the hand is a blackjack (a push) or a Six Card Charlie (still a win). The chart above is worked out for that rule, which is why it hits 10 and 11 against a 10 and hits a pair of 8s against a 10 instead of splitting them.

Skip the side bets

Four optional side bets ride on the first cards: Any Pair, 21+3, Hot 3 and Bust It. Evolution publishes their returns as 95.90%, 96.30%, 94.60% and 94.12%, so each one costs 3.70% to 5.88% of what you stake on it, seven to eleven times the 0.53% the main hand costs with the chart.

Infinite Blackjack FAQ

Does everyone at an Infinite Blackjack table get the same cards?

Yes. Every player receives the same first two cards, and the dealer’s hand is the same for everyone. From there each player hits, stands, doubles or splits their own way, and you play only against the dealer, so the same deal can win for one player and lose for another.

What do the percentages on the decision buttons mean?

They show what other players chose in your exact spot on this deal. That is a poll of the table, not advice: the crowd often stands or doubles when it should not, so follow the strategy chart on this page instead.

What happens if I don't decide in time?

The game decides for you: it hits a hand of 11 or less and stands on anything higher. It never doubles or splits for you, so a pair of 8s or a soft 18 left to the timer is often played wrong. Decide before the clock runs out.

Does the dealer check for blackjack in Infinite Blackjack?

Only with an Ace showing, after insurance is offered. With a 10 showing there is no check, so a dealer blackjack found at the end takes doubled and split bets as well. The chart on this page allows for that: hit 10 and 11 against a 10 rather than doubling, and hit 8s against a 10 rather than splitting.

Are the odds better than at Evolution's classic live blackjack tables?

Slightly. Evolution publishes a 99.47% return for Infinite Blackjack against 99.29% at its classic seven seat tables, and Six Card Charlie is the difference. With the chart on this page the house edge is 0.53%.
