Taxes on winnings
Licensed apps report qualifying wins to the IRS on a W-2G, so the income is documented whether you file for it or not. All gambling winnings are taxable federally (Argomento IRS 419) and Michigan taxes them at its flat 4.25% individual income tax rate through the Department of Treasury.
