What Casino Cruise was
Casino Cruise launched in 2014 as a cruise-themed online casino run by Genesis Global Limited, a Malta-based operator. It held licences from the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission and accepted players from a wide list of markets, including Australia, the UK and Canada, in more than twenty currencies. It sat alongside Genesis Global’s other brands and built a reasonable reputation for a mid-sized international casino during its run.
Why and when it closed
Casino Cruise did not close on its own; its parent company failed. Genesis Global Limited wound up its Malta operations at the end of December 2022 and entered insolvency, laying off its staff. On 16 January 2023 the Malta Gaming Authority suspended Genesis Global’s licence (MGA/CRP/314/2015), and the company’s casinos, Casino Cruise among them, stopped taking players. Gaming, withdrawals and customer support were all shut down as part of the wind-down. The domain casinocruise.com no longer resolves.
What this means if you had an account
Because the closure was driven by insolvency, any balance you still held is now part of Genesis Global’s insolvency proceedings rather than something you can withdraw from a live cashier. There is no working site, no support desk and no bonus to claim. Former players seeking a balance or an unresolved issue have had to pursue it through the appointed insolvency administrators, a process that has run long after the site went dark. If you have documentation of a balance, keep it; the usual regulator complaint routes are of limited help once a licence has been suspended and the company is in liquidation.
