Merkur is the games brand of Germany's Merkur Group, the maker of Eye of Horus and a long line of arcade-style slots. Here are the casinos that carry its online slots, with each game's RTP, maximum win and volatility.
A Merkur slot has the same features and rules wherever you find it, because Merkur builds it and the casino only runs it. What the casino decides is everything around the game: how fast your winnings arrive, what you can deposit with, which bonuses you get and whether their terms are fair. For the few Merkur slots made in more than one RTP setting, the casino also picks which one to run.
Every casino here carries Merkur's online slots. A game's features and rules are the same wherever you find it, so this list ranks the casinos we rate highest on what the casino itself controls.

Merkur is the games brand of the Merkur Group, the German gaming company Paul Gauselmann founded in 1957 and known as the Gauselmann Group until 2024. It makes slots, and its online games reach casinos through edict egaming, the group’s Hamburg distributor. edict holds a UK Gambling Commission license and a Malta Gaming Authority license for supplying games.
The figures below are Merkur’s own. RTP (return to player) is the share of all money staked that a game pays back over a very long run; maximum win is the most a single round can pay, as a multiple of your stake.
Check the RTP at your casino. The RTP shown is the one Merkur publishes. Where a studio offers a game in more than one RTP setting, the casino chooses which to run, and the figure that applies to you is in the game’s rules or information screen at your casino.
Five Merkur slots are made in a range of RTP settings that the casino chooses from, such as Smart Restart at 81.46% to 97.00%. The figure shown for those games is the top of the range.

RTP and maximum win are Merkur's own figures, last checked on 1 October 2026. The RTP a casino runs can be lower; check the game's rules at your casino.
Merkur's online games are all slots: 250 of them in its online library. The style comes straight from German arcades: fruit machines, Egyptian adventures and mostly five-reel games with RTPs close to 96 percent. Eye of Horus is the best-known title and has grown into a family with All Stars, Luxe, Multi and Power Spins editions. Fruitinator, Multi Wild, Magic Mirror and Zentaurus get the same treatment, as Merkur reworks its favorites into Power Spins, Multi and Double Play versions. Merkur rates about two in three of its slots high or very high for volatility.
Winning symbols disappear and new ones drop into their place, so one spin can pay more than once.

Its Malta company, Edict Malta Limited, holds a second Malta license (MGA/B2B/336/2016) and its own UK account (55403). The UK register records no regulatory action against either edict company. None of that covers your account: your money is held by the casino you deposit with, under that casino’s own license, so check the casino, not the games.

The Merkur Group’s British arcade business, Merkur Slots UK Limited, is a separate licensee: in January 2025 the Gambling Commission fined it 95,450 pounds over how staff in its venues interacted with a customer at risk of harm. That license covers its arcades, not the online games.
Paul Gauselmann started the business in 1957 by installing jukeboxes on the side, and it grew into Germany’s largest gaming group, making machines, running arcades and later casinos and sports betting. Its first in-house slot machine, the Merkur B, came out in 1977, and the laughing Merkur sun drawn in 1976 became the group’s signature. In 2008 it took over edict egaming, a Hamburg online casino specialist founded in 1998, which now licenses and distributes Merkur’s online slots. The group has belonged to the Gauselmann Family Foundation since 2016, renamed itself the Merkur Group in 2024 and reported revenue of 2.107 billion euros for 2025. It has been expanding in the United States, buying the Las Vegas supplier Gaming Arts in 2025 and agreeing in July 2026 to acquire the online slot studio White Hat Studios, subject to regulatory approval.
