Why don’t you make 7 = +1 (REKO or K-O) which would increase the BE to 98% and PE to 55% and keep the same level of difficulty/ease of counting? Are BC and BE 2 different things?
I can’t recall if these indexes are mentioned in the GameMaster’s lessons, but yes, it’s a useful strategy variation to know.
In 6D H17, split at +2 or better.
My advancecd cards include for the other rules/decks.
I’m not sure it’s compatible with Windows 10. It didn’t work when I tried it on a completely up to date version a couple of months back. The recommendation from MGP was to just uninstall the older .Net entirely and try it that way. I haven’t had a chance to try that.
657 hands played and i’m +475$ am I starting to show an advantage over the game or is the sample too small to be meaningful? I stopped playing because once you start playing enough hands the program starts to get slow. Also, I couldn’t take insurance on anything even though I had the offer insurance option selected.
In playing 21 with one deck off cards aND two people playing, in playing Blackjack with one deck of cards and two people playing what is the most black jack show up
Ken Smith. Is there any significance in blackjack when you have a black jack paired with a black ace, same suit? The question came up on the multiple choice question on Millionaire. ” With 8 decks in the shoe, how many black jacks are there? I guessed 16 but the answer was 32???
You don’t say what your minimum bet is. Is it $5? If so, you are doing very good. if its $10 or $15, your performance is less impressive. But it would be best to make a judgement after more hands have been played, such as 10K to 20K.
I have “offer insurance” selected and it does not offer me insurance. I have “Late surrender” selected and it offers me early surrender. Please fix this. 1,517 played: + $800.50.
– Ken, can you also make it so that we can choose when the deck is shuffled? I want to cut off 2 decks and play 4/6 leaving me with 66% penetration because that mimics the game i’m going to be targeting.
We’re looking into this. We are actually looking to revamp the trainer at some stage in the future too so your feedback and suggestions are appreciated!
Since I sold the BlackjackInfo site in 2016, I am not involved in the development of the new version of the trainer. Your best bet may be posting on the message forums, where your comments are more likely to be noticed.
Eight decks is the most typically seen in brick-and-mortar casinos, but in most jurisdictions, land-based or online, there is no legal requirement for any specific number of decks.
Almost. Hit when the count is worse than -3. At the index, you double.
The best way to phrase this is “double at -3 or better, else hit”.
Double at -3, -2, -1, zero, and all positive counts.
No, the “doubling” indexes always mean double at or above the index. So in the case of 9 vs 2 in a 2DH17 game, double if the count is +1 or higher. If the count is zero or negative, just hit.
Indexes always mean one of these three things: Stand at or above the index, double at or above the index, and split at or above the index. Which one it means varies depending on the decision. It’s a bit confusing at first. If in doubt, check the instruction pages here which show exactly when each applies. Once you get the idea, it gets easier.
You also may be confused by why basic strategy says “Double” for 9v2, yet the index is +1 for doubling. The explanation is pretty simple. Your hand includes two small cards and the dealer upcard is a small card. Therefore, off the top of a fresh shuffle, you’re already at +1, so basic strategy says double despite needing a “+1” to do so.

Is the empty field for 9,9 vs A correctly empty? I haven’t noticed any info here about potential deviance here.

Update: 989 hands played- + 600.
Update: 1,116 hands played- +497.50. Am I looking like I have an edge over the game or is this sample size too small to be meaningful?

You’re really kind of a nasty person, aren’t you?

At first, this way of stating indexes and actions can seem needlessly confusing. To see why it is the standard, read this:

thank you
so keeping with the same rules as above, 9 vs 4 indicated to D (double) but has -3 which is translated to only hit at -3.
